About the Client: A large US-based company operating multiple brands across various industry sectors, with a strong focus on employee training and workforce development. To address the increasing need for structured outplacement services, the client aimed to build a multi-sided SaaS platform connecting employers, independent coaches, and transitioning employees within a single unified ecosystem.
Outplacement and job transition services were highly fragmented. Employers lacked a structured way to support departing employees, independent coaches had no scalable platform to deliver their services, and transitioning employees had no centralised hub for guidance and career resources. No unified solution existed to connect all three groups.
There was no dedicated platform in place. Transition support was managed through manual processes, disconnected communication channels, third-party tools, and ad hoc coaching arrangements, resulting in limited visibility, consistency, and scalability.
To develop a multi-sided SaaS platform for outplacement services, enabling employers to enrol employees into transition programmes, coaches to provide training and career guidance, and employees to access resources, support, and job opportunities through a single integrated platform.

PLATFORM TYPE
Supporting three distinct user groups on a single platform — each with unique workflows, data needs, and interactions — required a robust backend architecture capable of delivering a responsive experience without performance bottlenecks under concurrent usage.
Managing sensitive employee information, coaching records, and corporate HR data required strong data segregation, role-based permissions, and secure data management practices across the platform.
As more organisations joined the platform with their employees and coaching networks, the system needed to scale efficiently, supporting increasing user volumes without requiring major architectural changes.
Building a unified platform for employers, coaches, and employees required a thoughtful UX strategy and modular architecture that supported distinct user experiences while maintaining a connected and consistent ecosystem.
We designed and developed a multi-sided SaaS platform that connects every participant in the job transition ecosystem through dedicated portals and role-specific functionality.
Corporate employers can enrol employees into structured transition programmes, monitor progress, and manage engagement with coaching services. Independent coaches access a dedicated workspace to manage assignments, deliver coaching sessions, share resources, and track employee development. Transitioning employees receive a personalised portal to access coaching, discover job opportunities, build new skills, and navigate their career transition with ongoing support.
The platform provided corporate clients with a scalable outplacement solution, enabled coaches to expand their services, and empowered employees with the resources and guidance needed to successfully move into their next career opportunity.
